The Christian Dior Classic Dior 1 CQIO9 sunglasses are an exceptionally rare piece of archival Dior eyewear, featuring one of the house's most distinctive sculptural silhouettes.

Dating from the 1990s, this statement design is crafted from deep aubergine-purple Optyl, with softly tinted lilac lenses and dramatically oversized temples that sweep across the frame when folded.

Each temple is finished with an oversized pearlised oval Dior plaque, secured with delicate crystal-style detailing an unmistakably glamorous detail that transforms the sunglasses into something closer to jewellery.

The exaggerated proportions, tinted lenses and sculptural construction embody the bold approach to accessories associated with Dior during the late 1990s, when the house entered one of the most experimental periods in its modern history.
